Child Sexual Abuse 101

This presentation equips the entire congregation with a framework to understand child sexual abuse. We ask the following questions – What is it? Who is at risk? Who are the offenders? How do you recognize sexual abuse? Are there long-term effects? How does this happen? What can we do? With this compelling framework, we urge congregants to be a part of the movement to bring awareness to the epidemic of child sexual abuse.  We will also discuss the places abuse is most likely to occur and why children often do not tell anyone what is happening.
