About: Circles of Hope are safe places where survivors are invited to find common ground with each other. Supported by a skilled facilitator, the psycho-educational group will look at the ways our lives have been shaped not only by our trauma, but by our struggle, strength and resilience. Through conversation, writing and creative expression, we will consider how the dark, dormant or chaotic periods in our lives can give way to growth, new life and healthy connections with others.
Facilitation: Each Circle of Hope is a four-session series in which a skilled facilitator holds trauma-informed space for healing connections. For the foreseeable future, they will be held on Zoom. Andrea Stoner Leaman, MSW, Program Manager at Safe Communities, and Ali Hagis, MPsych will facilitate the February 2021 group. Size: Each group has around 8 persons. Commitment: To foster connection in the group and hold safe space, participants must be able to commit to all 4 evenings within the session they choose. Fee: The cost of these circles has been generously grant funded by the LMC Legacy Foundation, and there is no fee for the participant. Questions?
